No, then project 'Collapse the World' would begin. We see enough of that in Dwarf Fortress as it is.

If you mean the cave-ins caused by incorrect digging, I hated that... You have to micromanage each square so the dwarves wont dig it from the wrong angle and kill themselves, causing a hole stretching 5 levels above... enabling goblins to shoot the workers, lava or water to flood the workshops or any of the other 9999 possible hazards :)

This except we'd pretty much be control mining underneath villages to collapse everything and destroy it all.

Sounds like a game I'd enjoy until my village gets burned down by a mine opening a lava place, or someone digging below me that then causes lava to drop down...

It was a single player game when I last played it, dunno if mp was ever released... There are however maps shared between different players (rulers) by sending saves, creating a lineage of different rulers trying to defend a single fortress ( check up on boatmurdered :) ).
