An hour or so. But really, better get an alternative client with night vision. Takes out the charm of going into caves with torches, but the pros definitely outweight the cons here.

The more industry you have the higher success rate you have. Someone with Full Nature has a virtual 0% success rate with ore they've mined out being smelted into metal. At full industry you have:
Copper/Tin/Iron: 20% Success
Silver: 1.2% Success
Gold: 0.8% Success

So you really want to do ore in full batches.

Actually at full nature you have like ~4% per ore not 0% tested myself :D

I see, then I just had bad luck last world. First in that I was dumb enough to buy ore from someone then I didn't get a single metal bar out of 4 batches. Such is luck~
