That was before ranger bow nerf, though :P

And I'd definitely go with cuirass over bronze plate in any situation, cooldown is just too important to let your opponent get the full agi ratio advantage. 50% more moves is just insurmountable. He'll deplete your defence faster, and after that it doesn't matter how much armour you got, one good sting will take you down.

I guess that always depends on the situation. I was referring more to fights with many people involved. The better strategy prevails there and I rather have time to go through with it and not get shot in the meantime. For 1on1 you are probably right though. Didn't encounter any situation where I was facing an equally skilled opponent 1on1 since the Agi change was introduced yet. When I was in 1on1 situations my enemy usually barely knew how to switch between flex, slide and punch. You will win those fights anytime, no matter what your agi is ;)

I'd say it's even more important in team fight, since it lets you finish your guy faster so you can go help your teammate sooner. Of course, you have to be a bit more careful than when wearing steel. Also, when doubleteamed, being able to take one guy out before they break your defence is all that matters. 50% more IP is really a humongous difference.

I rather doubleteam them than get doubleteamed ;)

I guess my death at BHB just made me careful about wearing too less armor.

I would have took a cuirass over chain too if I had one ha ha! When I fought the 4 people from Ardarath, I kept my plate on because I knew they had rangers, but it turned out, they all had plate armor and ( 1 agility ) to, ugh, If I kept the chain on, (or had a cuirass) it would of been a lot of help. I think I might be willing to keep my plate on until I'm convinced I wont be getting shot, then take it off, that's risky business though.
You may have foiled the plans of BAD-EVIL this time, but there is no rest for the wicked.

Yeah, back then it was different, but with nerfed ranger bows I reckon cuirass can be sufficient if your other armour is good. And early into the game the enemy archers are unlikely to have much more per than you have agi, in which case bringing down the average damage may actually do more for you than some extra points of armour. Plus ranger bows are significantly lower q than cuirasses nowadays, so you should survive even if he gets lucky on the damage roll. But ranger bows aren't much of a factor when considering these things IMO, you just need a sling to neutralize it.

Of course, once your agi gets high enough the agi difference between plate and cuirass becomes negligible, so steel plate is the clear choice then.

So when fleeing and fighting vs range Armor > Agi
And when fighting vs Melee or above 100agi you can switch to plate.
What stats does the dragon helmet have apart from armor? isnt there more to it? According to wiki its only armor.

It gives melee, 10 @ q10, IIRC. Also strength, don't remember how much but I think it was pretty low.

I really have trouble finding a gold or silber miningspot id like to know it before i start prospecting the whole map for that helmet :D.
And btw you can have steel at low melee stats. I started playing 1,5 weeks ago im at 95 ua and around 35str/agi/con (without item bonuses). My main concern right now is to survive, not to kill. So maybe the Plate armor is my choice in any situation.

I haven't seen anyone wearing a dragon helm yet, so I'd say you're not the only one who has trouble finding gold ;)
