Sounds like a candidate for a guide link to me teck :P I have yet to see a nice one with pictures, but shitty text ones do the trick.

Dataslycer's combat guide is quite quite wonderful. I'm not sure if hunting warrants a guide of its own on how to exploit pathing bugs.

A quick illistruation, as Sevenless requested. I fucked up in this thrice, so feel free to bash on me. I forgot to bring a rope so I couldn't demonstrate taming, for one, and I moved by accident at the start when shuffling around with things and one got a hit off on me. Finally, forgot to move a boar out of the way after it died so its buddy destroyed it for me.

Step 1: Locate the Prey

Step 2: Setup a trap and leave an opening, make the trap as big as you need to, to feel comfortable.
Image
Step 3: Lure the enemy into the trap, larger traps give more time to get back into the shallows after the enemy charges at you

Step 4: Close the trap

Step 5: Begin to call down the thunder to build as much initiative as you need
Image
Step 6: If you're going to tame, use Evil Eye first to reduce its attack to 0, then build combat advantage, reduce intensity to 0, and quell
Image
Step 7: If you're just going to kill them, same strategy except you can just use a sling instead
Image
Step 8: After a few arrows/rocks/punches the enemy will become docile but will not run away, you can now walk run up to them and they'll stand there dumbfounded. Check the top right corner to make sure they have an olive branch extended to see if they're docile.

Step 9: Great Victory!

Very nice. Any way you could post that some place more linkable like its own post? Makes a real easy ctrl-c ctrl-v answer to the nublies questions.

Edit: While I agree that it's not overly difficult to figure out, there are players in any game who aren't bright, or they're very young etc. It's a fact of life. A picture guide works for them and helps with language barriers as well.

Ya, I'll even expand on it a bit and clean it up when I have a chance.
