Hmm, only just saw this, sorry for bumping again....

I don't know. But this is what I find:
java.com wrote:Apple supplies their own version of Java. Use the Software Update feature (available on the Apple menu) to check that you have the most up-to-date version of Java for your Mac.
My understanding is that as I am running an outdated version of OS X, I can't get new Java.

Thanks
Did you ever try pressing ctrl+h? Bit late to answer, I know, but I'll leave it here just in case someone else comes along (of course, I don't know whether ctrl+h does work on a Mac, and if it didn't I would try apple+h or alt+h as well, and if none of them worked I would be annoyed, but the need to use ctrl+h to toggle hide on a windows computer is one of those secret things that is not mentioned anywhere official, as far as I can tell).

Yeah, on a mac ctrl is used for the shortcuts (ctrl+h hide, etc.) even though command is regularly used in lieu of the windows ctrl key.

Hmm... thanks for providing this. Again, showing my noobness with Macs (haven't seriously used an Apple PC since around 92--was an Apple II line). Absolutely no OSS or Sun provided solutions?

Hey. The quote above is from the Java page about 'how do I make sure I have the right kind of Java?'.

As far as I can tell from support.apple.com, the lack of articles with any numbers on smaller than 10.5 imply that their answer to 'how do I get newer Java?' involves buying a system upgrade, which is fair enough really, I just don't want to do that until I have a bit more disposable income.

There is possibly some kind of unofficial workaround involving something called SoyLatte, but this seems to require slightly more technical understanding/competence than I currently have, and there is no guarantee that it would work to run Ender's anyway, so I would rather not risk screwing up my whole computer attempting to set it up.

This works fine and all, but does anyone know if there is a more updated version of the ender client for a mac?

So, I'm guessing it's safe to use? I mainly use the PC version of the Ender client, but I would like to run it on my mac as well.

I think there's a more recent mac client around the forums. I downloaded it earlier, and it works fine.

There's no such thing as a "mac client". The current version of Enders works perfectly on OSX, you just have to set it up correctly.
