I wonder if you can actually dramatically improve juice/wine/water/beer/vinegar quality levels as long as you have a bunch of barrels 90L full of the target liquid provided they create a "ladder" of quality. Like you could take q10 water and add it to a q14 water barrel, take out the still q14 water and transfer it to one with q18, then to 22, 26, and so on. As long as you do it a bucket as a time none of the quality levels should change, and you could just work up whatever of the highest quality water you have with enough time.

I had some low quality juice i could waste, so i combined 10L of q5 grapejuice with 5L q2 juice, and i got 15L of q6 juice? it doesn't quite add up, might just be the 'rounding' in action.

sounds strikingly similar to real winemaking. i'd love to someday find out that the quality of outcome wine is based on semi-random qualities. like "any wine q multiple of 3 combined with wine q=prime number will always come out higher quality, or two wines both of an even numbered quality do not compliment one another and will reduce flavor"
