Huh? Since when? Do animals also destroy corpses?

i dunno, i destroyed one the other day, and noticed a few outside our town were a shade redder, although they mysteriously returned to their natural color, now that i think of it. and i've definitely seen animals destroy another animal's corpse.

Any evidence of destroying hearthling corpses, though? I'm mostly interested in the implications for troll hunting.

Animals eat each other's corpses all the time. They've been breaking them since w4 at least. I've already seen them destroy skeletons of hearthlings and animals and I've also destroyed skeletons of hearthlings and animals. I've never seen one break a fresh hearthling corpse and I've never been able to break a fleshy hearthling corpse though so if they can, this is new. Perhaps it is in response to the animal/troll hunting abuse?

I've destroyed skeletons before. Takes a little time but it can be done.

Is the decay rate for animal bodies the same as hearthling bodies? I had a pair of dead boars in a boat for the skinner, but when we checked on them, they were both skeletons.
