I'm yet to find a single piece, where are confirmed locations of their existence?

Oh wow, I completely missed that clayjar in the first craft menu ><

I actually found one along the river of my settlement, I was told they're found in mountains though.

They're found along rivers, though you need high perception and exploration to find them.

If you want to find them often, they take roughly 64 each of exploration and perception.

For just a small chance, 55 each.

It's not worth it, though. I understand that there's no remaining open geological spots near the RoB.

Either way, it'd probably be faster to just try to plop a mine in every open square until it sticks.
Surprise.

The mine hole option on the build menu is purely superficial, they should remove it.

Also, tin mine whee....

What will tin do?

I've only seen Rustroot in forests, Pine seems to generate more of them.

There's still an abundance of mining points, my tin mine has another tin spot to the southwest and an iron spot to the north.

The mine hole build option is, as Blaze said, completely useless. When you use Prospect close enough to a geology point (or whatever you want to call it), you automatically walk toward it and place a build sign.

What if you don't have any wood blocks to stick in it? Do you need to use another rustroot extract to start it again?
