i'm scared that it's going to get stolen while it's drying though :/

i mean i have a claim but someone earlier today raided my chickens :(

Don't worry about the amount of LP you put into a claim. You'll want to make it much, much bigger to cover that farm you're going to start, anyway.

20k into a claim is nothing in this game.

i already have a claim though :/ i guess i'll just relearn yeomanry and build a palisade later.
