Q of WWW's only affect what the final seed Q is. What seed you get, is loosely based on your area. Mostly random.

Word is that each map section has it's own selection of seeds. If you're not getting what you're looking for on the map sections you regularly wander, find some different areas to pick weeds.

I understood it to be like herds of animals. A group of WWW's will spawn, of generally the same type, but they respawn differently next time.

Pretty sure it's map based, with percentages given to the likelyhood of each seed. 80% of the q60 WWWs I've picked from my area (trying to get a head start on farming) have been either onions or flax, with the odd pea and pumpkin etc in between. I'm sure every WWW has a chance at becoming any seed, however some are much more likely to become a particular one, depending on the area of the map where they were picked.

Survival is not necessary in the beginning. Level up your exploration first asap.
Reasoning behind : On a Q20-30 soil you'll get Q10-15 items even with 0 survival. But if you don't have decent exploration, you will for sur get much less forageables.

Current belief on the forum is that it's 100% based on "map data". A seed picked from a certain area will always be the same crop type. I'd say my personal experience ratifies it if anything.

Basically, just go on a wander for 2-3 hours. Go overland to new rivers. Pick every WWW and crate them on your way. That's how we got our seed variety at the start.

I'm assuming tracking stolen items is also based on your per&exp versus the thief's int&stealth, so what happens if you kill the thief? Would the items suddenly have perfect tracking data or are we stuck with whatever the thief's last int&stealth was?
