I don't see how this applied to a trading alt.


The most crime you'll be doing on a trading alt is trespassing. Which is not a summonable offense.


No where does he say what crime is going on. Tresspassing and assault can't be summoned.

If I don't have Yeomanry, can someone just run up and steal my stuff? Without leaving scent?

With Yeomanry, and a claim... They leave the scent, and they need to have trespassing/theft?


- I also noticed I'd need a cauldron to make bone glue to make the first corner post on a palisade... I haven't found anything to mine, other than one that had a palisade around it. Am I missing something?

Yes, people need to buy Tresspassing and Theft before they can steal things from your claim once you make it. Yes, it will leave a scent.

Yes you need a caludron for bone glue for a palisade. If you don't have metal, make a clay cauldron.

With have Pottery, can I cruise the shore in a boat and spot clay nodes? I dug one before randomly at the shore, but Pottery shows nodes?

Best bet when searching the wiki is to search for the item you want to make and it should list all qualifying materials and tools that can be used.

Boating around is one way. Just try digging along the shore for clay. You can also try digging mudflats (the brown, grassless patches) for acre clay, which is specifically needed for some recipes. If the quality is over 10, you'll get more than one clay, otherwise move on.

Pottery only allows you to work clay. There are not skills that point you to quality nodes.

I read that if I dig the shore, and I don't get a clay the first time (or a bunch of quality 10) I need to move about 2 minimaps away and dig again... Is that true?

Or can I just the a whole shoreline, and eventually end up with a tonne of clay?

If there is no node, you can get a single piece of q10 clay in a largish area (like 100 tiles radius), so yeah, you can gather enough clay for a cauldron this way, but it'll take some cruising around.

Do I need a certain Forage X Perception to spot clay nodes like I did for wheat weeds?

There is no visual indication for clay nodes, you just have to dig blindly till you find one.

So I found a quality 12 clay node, and filled up a few crates worth. That same node will eventually deplete, I understand. I read that nodes around that node, and possibly across the river might have clay as well... Is it 1 clay, or multiple depending on how far out I am from the one I found them in?


I've made my Cauldron :D
