Most valuable thing you have is your character and his LP. There are many player who enjoy randomly murdering whoever they can.

As for the hives: Hive produces honey/wax on a % chance every time a crop grows. Crops sitting fully grown do nothing. You get 0.2L of honey for every wax the hive produces. Multiple hives can't share "food", nor do they help speed up growth of crops. It's a waste of your effort to make more hives, and realistically you only want the best hive gathering honey/wax. It doesn't cause any harm though to build extra or if you have their radius overlapping.

Sorry, but I have to call foul here. A hive will start producing honey before wax. It produces honey 0.1L at a time and wax is produced randomly in there.

It produces ~ half as much wax as it does honey. I worded it kind of oddly I know.

1 wax per 0.2 liters of honey is a false statement.
it may depend on the hives positioning, but it doesnt happen like that always.
for example, i may have positioned my hives wrong, but it currently produces 0.3 liters honey before giving me wax, at least on this world.
(ive experimented with both leaving honey for a while and taking honey every 0.1 liters both.)

so, if you are very sure about getting wax every 0.2 liters of honey, then i think MagicManICT's "random" answer sounds more accurate, or your hive positioning is superb.

I will say that what may lead you to that conclusion is that the hive stores at most 1.0L of honey and 5 wax. If you keep things harvested, both plants and hive products, then I'm inclined to agree with a .3:1 or .4:1 ratio.

Don't know much about this since i am still a newbie to but i think is a little bit random when it comes to wax and honey. I got a beehive with all kinds of crops planted on the entire radius and my first 4 days i have yet to gain anything and i tend the crops all the time. Day 5 i gained 0.1 honey, day 6 about 0.5 and day 7 finally gained one wax.

Just an update. I got another .1L of honey today. Maybe it takes hives a little while to warm up, or maybe it's just random.
