You can't shoot ants, they move too much. When the target moves, your aim meter goes down.

ok, good to know than i'll wait some time to skill and than try some foxes fram a boat

10 should be enough for any animal but deer (they heal themselves faster than you do damage), as long as you stay safely out of it's reach on your boat. If you shoot when the animal twitches (you'll know what I'm talking about when you see it) it won't run away.

i've got another problem. my aim-meter doesnt go up, even after 10 seconds. i've got MM 10 and a q13 sling. I suppose i should see a smaller red bar at least but there was no bar at all... and whats UA?

try aiming from a smaller distance
EDIT: oh, didnt read the rest, ants are bad for shooting anyway, the closer you are, the faster the bar goes up
