Ya, same rule. Nodes are random in size. They appear to be circular -- perhaps ovular sometimes.

how high is the possibility that there is no stone over q 10 at a mountain? i've digged the whole mountain up and got nothing at all -.-

About the same as a mudflat having q10 clay. Sometimes you get good nodes and sometimes you don't get any.

You could also keep on trying in caves. They have quality nodes, too. Stones chipped off the wall will have the quality of the tile you're chipping at, so you'll have to pick the stones up and check. (Q is not equal to hardness) It's how I got my q50 stone axe. In the mean time, get some +str gear: bear tooth talisman and bear cape. Getting drunk off booze helps, too. You'll need to drink quite a bit, though.
