Hey all,

Some questions: It says there are 419 hearthlings online, yet when I am in game it says "you are alone in the world". Is there some fundamental thing I am doing wrong here?

Also, when having a fishing pole equipped and worms in my inventory it gives error msg when trying to fish "you must have a fully equipped fishing pole". Huh? It is fully equipped, I see it on my dude. Thanks

This would be your kin list. You get this message when you haven't met anyone. It's a big world and sometimes you have to wander a bit before running into people. When the world started, there were typically 1200-1500 online

Did you read the required items for a pole on the wiki? you need string (spindly taproot, plant fiber or silk thread only), a hook, and a lure/bait. Disassemble the pole and see which of those you don't have.
