Oh believe me, you'll be hunting. You just can't have too many hides nowadays.

Someone running Hitler Flower/Flotsam/Pearl/Porcelain doll on top of the cheaper and more reliable crafted ones like abacus/steed/bowl will reach a MUCH higher LP gain. It's just incredibly expensive to feed someone that.

Granted, pearls in particular allow for incredible LP gains per day if you manage to get a steady inflow of them.

Well, now you just call them foraging trips instead of hunting trips. Animals are still useful for what you get out of them, but they're not necessarily the main objective of those trips.

Eh, it's not good for LP anymore, but if someone else does the mining you're free to hunt while the good curios run anyway.

Sacrilege!! Make some jewelry out of those pearls! It'll pay off tenfold!

Wait... forget I said that. Keep consuming them like they're dandelions. I'd rather get ahead of the less wise in the long run. ;)

Quality, Availability, and Int determines the cap. Cost is a variable factor determined by the person's willingness to work or value assigned. :) Early on it's pretty easy to maintain the cap because of the limited availability of curios (assuming a player or group of players are hermits or a new village without trading partners).

Why would you say either of these? First, it just means no more LP grinding bots. That's a great thing. It doesn't mean people don't still use bots to do much of the mundane or grind stats. Second, why no more hunting? Bear teeth are great curios, just expensive (via attn cap). Same with deer antlers. Not to mention all the str and agi a person needs.

True, a pearl necklace pays off in the end (after gaining >3.24m LP), but note the singular - you can fill only so many accessory slot[s] with necklaces after all.
It's largely hypothetical anyway, as you'll need quite a few worker drones collecting mussels in order to be able to reach the limit of 24 pearls a day.

I've found enjoying a glass of wine or tankard of beer also helps...

(It bumps your Int by +10, which also boosts your attention. Jam in some more curios!)

Don't forget a necromancer's cloak and the +int rings.

Ok... I was thinking the pearl rings (forget the name) were +int. Guess I should look before opening my mouth. I did remember they'd help with LP gain at least.
