I didn't see a battering ram there within the last 24 hours and its not there now... they can be moved, right?
And since they killed me while I was offline they had summoned me at my hearth fire to kill me there. But when I reincarnated I spawned on some island no where near my base. Does that mean they destroyed my hearth fire?

if you leave scents, watch out for rams carefully.

and yes ram can be moved a few tiles before they break.if they break you have to repair them and wait 8h(?) till you can move again.

and yes they probably destroey your HF

To top it all off my reincarnated character spawned on an island in a broadleaf forest with no rabbits or fish. So right now I'm getting by on apples while chopping down half the island to increase the chance of a rabbit or chicken spawning so I can make a boat. But it seems chances are I will find enough string to make a raft before that happens.

If you have 25str you can destroy your new HF and spawn somewhere else, or get some friends with a village claim to invite you to their village for a few min so you can port to their idol

If you are a village member you can spawn to your Idol even if its very far away IF you don't have a HF.or, like I said, destroy your HF, log out and use "spawn in the wilderness"

Sounds like your wall decayed. I saw my bran-spanking-new palisade post go to red after one day just last week in my marketplace, so it's not impossible.

The sections on a claim won't decay. Sections not on a claim will continue to decay.
