I'm new as so is my character, I've been playing the game for about a day now and I'm truly impress with the gameplay.


However, I've read some manuals on the game's character progression and I've decided to focus my primary character on workshop related skills (steel/stone/metal), building, and carpentry. So I've already started to work on the attributes and skills relating to that profession.


On the contrary, I'm still in still in the woods and gathering food from homes that are unclaimed lmao (only because there isn't any wild food).

Put those LPs into exploration instead of smithing or carepntry or any other crafting skill. the more survival you have, the more food and curiosities you find, so every point will start paying off right away. Smithing, on the other hand, will be totally useless till you find metal, which will take a couple of weeks at least.
