I see. I just tested it too. I ate a roasted brill (2 INT, 2 DEX), giving me around 30 for the next level, then a chantrelle (1 DEX), which gave me around 26 for the next level. Brilliant! Thanks for the help :D

only exception to the no FEP = no decrease thing is booze
drink a sip of wine and a sip of beer and you get 2 reductions in FEP required and a small hunger boost
...though i spose you wouldnt have any wine or beer if you're asking about this...
loftar: New hair styles? Really? Seeing how Jorb never gets off his lazy ass to draw some, I almost want to add them to the game proper.

Does that mean that, if you were to be somewhat efficient, you should be drinking a sip of wine and a sip of beer for every single new FEP bar?

cobaltjones wrote:Correct. The food diversity bonus works regardless of what FEP you gain from eating the food, but it also only works for foods that give FEPs. If you eat a boar meat and a bear meat your max needed FEPs is decreased, but if you eat (an apple or nut) or a taproot, nothing changes.

fixed for you.

Also, some items do give FEP reduction even though they don't provide any, namely wine and beer.

In general:

The FEP wiki page had some errors that have been recently fixed. It would be good for anyone that doesn't know the FACTS to read it. It is now accurate, but poorly organized.

I meant in the sense of a new FEP bar. Blueberry gives you the INT FEP, and then eating a taproot doesn't decrease your max needed.

But yeah, you're right.

A note is that some foods (such as onions I believe) give black FEP but at a low rate, if you grow q1 onions the amount of black FEP becomes almost nothing but you still get a variety bonus. The main reason black FEP is bad because it causes all the food you ate for that bar to become worthless.

Yes, eating the raw chicken that you forgot in your pocket is so healthy! No really, you should try it.
