You can become lawspeaker of a village that you are not in if there is currently no lawspeaker, my friend has done so after killing a village's current LS. I believe someone snagged it right after you renounced, which means until you kill him/ he renounces, you are stuck without a LS.

Hm maybe, i live as a hermit though and so have no other people to take it, logging in and out between toons takes all of 5 seconds and i use enders fully zoomed out and havnt seen anyone around, i think the chances of anyone grabbing it were pretty slim, but again, maybe

The idols behind a wall on claimed ground, would it leave a scent if someone did take it?

Possibly the village that your friend took had under 50k auth, id much rather believe that at the moment

Does your alt have Lawspeaking?

If not, consider grinding him that up real fast, if he's IN the village but doesn't have it, he can get it and then take the idol.

Yea both my main toons have lawspeaking, but niether are in the village now

But I do have another alt that just held my keys on another account, that is in the village, he is on base stats though, but i guess that will be quicker than waiting for auth to run down

yup, takes 14~ days for auth to run from max->0.

However, if NO ONE is in the village, that is NOT A SINGLE VILLAGER. You can take it over when it's over 50k auth.

This has however had mixed results, so proceed with caution if going that route.

Thats tempting! and good to know, the wiki doesn't seem to have much about villages except the basics, but i would still be in the same position i was to begin with, only having one of my mains in the village, so would still need to grind a alt on another account to get them both in, just about to start stuffing him with blueberries wine and curios
