With 100 UA you can tame a boar in a fair fight if you know what you're doing (if you can't kill a boar without taking damage don't even try). As for cows and sheep, only if you fight just one of them at a time (ie trap the rest of the herd).

Aurochs are not to be trifled with.
You may have foiled the plans of BAD-EVIL this time, but there is no rest for the wicked.

Imo boars are the easiest to tame. And not only that, you can also tame them very quick.
I tamed mine on grassland with just running away and making one move when the cooldown was gone, after i got enough IP wit call down the thunder. So the boar never did anything serious, battle intensity was also not an issue. That works well since boars are really slow :)
Also you can get immediatetly get aggro again by standing next to them. With cows i had to wait up to 20 minutes :/

Then you're doing it wrong. You can get an aurochs to reaggro immediately by attacking a member of the herd other than the one you are trying to tame. Same with mouflon. You do need to walk away to break combat, though, so it's not a 0 time effort, but then neither is getting the boar to reaggro from aggressiveness, either.

I have a friend aggro one and I stop him b4 he clears the gate

Oh, and I'd say mouflon/Aurochsen are easiest. :P

No need to even do that. Just signposts are enough.

I've read many things about trapping animals. :( But none of it makes a bit of sense to me.

Easiest animal to tame?

Postby ChickenSlim » Fri Jul 01, 2011 10:27 pm

I've got the "pattern" down, and getting ready to tame my first animal... Wondering what the easiest animal would be to tame, just incase it isn't the "smoothest" attempt.

Boar? U can outrun him, he is not in herd, and with decent armor he won't knock you.
