let them wall jump, then make them realize they jumped into a trap! the costs worth it?

idol jump isn't too problematic as they will be too far to jump unless they use 1k signs (they will probably do it anyways :<), charterstone should be the same as crossroad, your not going to break a village by cock-blocking a CS.

@sivar t's its osama!

Charterstone jump sucks.....

This is why you claim the land around your walls too. At least makes it a lot harder to jump your walls. Even though in theory someone could jump a supergrid or more if he had the patience to fill it with signs beforehand ;)

And yes, CS jumps suck.

You can place the idol the same way you can place a CS. Well, there is a few tiles difference but it doesn't really matter. People usually use charterstones because this way they can hide the drying idol somewhere out in the woods and then banner up to town and instantly jump the walls in one raiding session.

what about CS and idol not allowed to place hearthlings not on its own village grounds? it won't help those with only personal claim but not sure how many people would make an idol and cs jump just to raid a hermit

or maybe just make a change to all teleportations that would allow character to port only to a closest tile near the target (target being CR, CS, Idol) to which there is a way from said target unblocked by one of the following:
- wall / palisade
- cliff
- water
- houses
- <some other objects I forgot>

This way you wouldn't be able to port over walls / cliffs, and to trap CR / idol / CS you would have to build a wall / palisade around it, so that placing boulders, signposts, etc. wouldn't work.

I still don't understand why is this worse then wall jumping. There's always wilderness log-in.

You don't get that if you are part of a village. Basically what you get is log onto your last location and log at village idol. Blocking the last one is having something at your log out location. If someone can block the first one, logging at idol, then basically you are essentially lock out of being able to log onto your character at all.

Unless you mean add an option for villagers to wilderness spawn if idol is blocked.
