Actually the previous record was 72 hours. Laak broke the record by playing 115 straight hours in a $10/$20NL game at the Bellagio.

Don't see why you want to mess up yourself to play a bit more. It's often better to have a fresh mind when involving into your everyday life, whether it's a village project, twinking, or if you unexpectedly get ganked. Except some rare case, people don't play chess as well if their mind is warped.

An enemy will only fight if he believes he either has a chance to win, or you've backed him into a corner and he's fighting for his life. A completely crushing victory provides an enemy with neither.

Decent guide but I don't recommend the sugar too much. If I'm gonna be up 48+ hours I eat hot dogs, drink soda, remember to use the bathroom frequently, that's the big problem with most of those people who 'die' for being up 2-3 days in a row. They don't eat, or drink, or go to the bathroom.

I stand corrected! I know in about every show I've seen (or heard in case of podcasts) him on, everyone's got to ask him about it.

I'm not advocating this sort of behavior in any way. However, it's very much a test of will power and endurance just like running a marathon. Nobody should undertake either without knowing the mental and physical capabilities. When you get into the sleep deprivation, it can do all sorts of weird things to you and bring enlightenment to whatever you're working with or crush you if you can't push through. Doing things like playing chess and card games or deep meditation are what pushes the brain into such odd modes.

I do agree don't mess up the temple with the drugs. They break more than they can ever possibly help.

72 hours is piss, I've gone way longer.

It's a hell of a lot easier when you're a teenager, I did 150 hours~(6 days + 4~ hours) when I was 13-14.

I wouldn't suggest it though at all, I probably wouldn't go past 24 hours anymore, it's not worth it, you're better off getting sleep once a day but just limiting the sleep to 4-6 hours with alarms and such.
