how do i find food?

People tend to only be online for a few hours a day or running around doing things in-doors or away from the town.
There's a good chance your hours of operation don't sync up with theirs especially considering how international this game is.

when i moved as a herit where i am now, there were a lot of big villages. only managed to see someone when someone came at me with a sword!

turnes out apart from one village allt he others were pretty much raided out. and the 1 othe functioning village got raided too not long after. so yeah tehres a good possibility that the nearby villages have simply been raided out.
