Releasing them and recatching them does not reset their life span. They'll die just as quickly.

Aha ... thanks.
Mmm :idea:, Anyone tested what happens to a moth that's released just before its life clock run's out. Figure if its not disappears in thin air before your eye's, you might have a special moth if re-captured again ... Still might just say *poof* the moment you capture it though. :)

E:diapering -> disappears.

the only way to store them would be in a fishing pole in my opinion, And even that might not work, But it looks like a possibility

I've never actually had the patience to try this, to be honest. Since it times them immaculately for other, similar scenarios they'll likely just disappear but you never know where you might find a bug.

My guess would be that it doesn't disappear while flying. It would vanish when it lands in inventory though.
I believe that timers are checked only for items in inventory. So it would not be checked for flying moth, but after it lands back in inventory it gets checked and vanishes
