Or rather maybe if we have one large thread, the problem will be noticed by someone that knows what's going on and how to fix it?

Edit: Also, a link to what you found would be nice. It's funny because you chewed out the guy previously who said he found the what the problem was.

seems like while using homepage version, it automatically logs me in every time i start it up without me having to click login. logging out to switch characters, though, makes me click the login button which gives me the connection refused:connect message. Enders, however, doesn't automatically log you in, so you have to click the login button and get the message. so i have to start up a new homepage HnH every time i want to switch alts o:

Or rather we do what everyone is doing, which is post in this thread, another just like it, and Ender's client thread. Because we all know when performing maintenance on any server, the first diagnostic action is to check the forums... :geek:

No, but you usually give your users some sort of update. Knowing that there's some sort of maintenance going on saves a lot of time on the users end from trying to figure out where the issue is. That or knowing that a certain error message most likely means that there is some maintenance going on achieves the same thing. That is why I asked for a link to what you dug up, but it looks like my edit was made too late.

So, how does everyone bitching about it in multiple threads speed up the process again?

Problem has nothing to do with Clients in general. Auth server is just refusing any connection at the moment, the only way to get a auth key to log in is through the website. There's a workaround for this and im sure a few of you out there are clever enough to figure it out on your own.

I never said anything about bitching/posting in multiple threads.

Hypothetically speaking, let's say I'm NOT clever enough to figure it out. What, hypothetically speaking, would you do? :)
