Did anyone figure out the exact requirements to make a boiled egg? I pretty much have every skill except for the ones that are 5k+ LP. I grabbed an egg out of our coop and didn't seem to discover it at all. I didn't build a coop, myself, but I'm capable of doing so and imagine that isn't the problem.

Okay, I just figured it out. You can't discover just any egg; it has to be one of the eggs that's under a chicken (and has a timer going).

problem could be someone had already taken the egg out for discovery then placed it back thinking it would hatch. if you got discovery for taking the first egg out you should have been able to boil an egg, but I'm guessing you didn't, meaning my scenario is probably what happened...
