Sorry to bump this again;

How does the bonus scale with the number of people? Is it worth sitting down some alts at tables to boost the bonus? Or do people actually have to be eating at the tables to make it work...

Don't think that does anything.

I'm also interested for answers on feasting with bonfire.

From what i tested :
Lit the bonfire usually gives a hunger bonus., with 2 tables, there is another hunger bonus if an alt seat on a table, it becomes an "active" table. This bonus seems softcapped by the party average charisma as said in wiki.
=> when my strong alt (who lit the fire) sits on table, weaker alt get bonus.
=> when my weak alt sits on table, strong alt has same bonus

So i think u can get a higher bonus with more "active" tables, but need to have a high charisma leader (and also people in party preferably) to really see the difference. And this additionnal bonus will benefit to alts, but not to the party leader (he gets the same bonus if feasting alone).

Again, i'm interested in detailed knowledge, these are simple observations that may be false.
One thing is sure, bonfire is good for eating more, but you have to produce lot of food.

Ahh, this is interesting. So the person with the highest charisma (party leader) gets no bonus for more people feasting?
