I'll follow your tip and go try and repair all wall sections. By the way I'm sure I read many times that material quality is not important for walls, is that right?

Right, materials don't matter if the object being built isn't used as a tool. I've no idea if you can build wall sections without paving first. Used to be that you could. Anything that required a foundation but didn't have one decayed 3x faster, with or without a claim.

If someone was trying to break in and the wall section is on a claim, there would be scents. That's the only way you can be sure. Decay still happens on a claim. Items shouldn't be damaged from it (though nothing saying that an occassional bugged decay tick hits and items take damage).

Sorry I forgot to mention I paved the entire perimeter before building the palisade on top of it. Could it be that the palisade needs 2 paved tiles around it instead that just the one below it?

I do have ranging but only PER of 26, how likely it is I can see scents of high level players?

It's not the perception that matters, but perc*exp. If their int*stealth is twice your perc*exp, you won't see the scents. It's common for high level players to have int*stealth levels of 10k-20k or higher.

OK then it's clearly impossible for me to obtain such scents. Although it's strange that such players would be interested in my property considering it's clear to anyone passing by that I have no valuables.

Another question I have is, if I create a village claim in my personally claimed territory and then the village claim somehow reaches 0 authority, would the items in the village claim start decaying or would they still be protected by my personal claim?

Seeing them isn't the problem. If you exit the map and re-enter it by going in and out of a cave or house, you'll eventually see them. The likelihood of successfully tracking is another issue. Some people are going to screw with you just cause they can.

Depends on how things overlap. A personal claim exerts higher authority than a village claim, so anything on the personal claim would still be protected.

Ok so if the village claim is a sub-area wholly contained in my personal area I should be fine in regards to decay, right?
