how to see in mines

when im at my house it lights when i go in the mine its all pitch black

yea i hit it and it sends me home just at my village it lights just when i go in the mine it dont light up anything

This is only an issue with Ender's client, which this player obviously isn't using. (Well, could be ignoring the Nightvision toggle, but....)
