The minimap was never broken to begin with. The thing is always two or three days behind changes on the server, thus when new world, no minimap has been drawn yet. Of course, they could just leave the server down for a day or two while the initial maps are rendered. I think I'd rather play, though.

is alg playing this world btw?

No idea, but he's already said he'll put the map for world 6 up soon.

But... i'm scared to craft it lol. Wiki says to use Enthroned toad recipe, can someone confirm that's right and will make Prince Charming and not enthroned toad!

Also, my royal toadstool is 26q and crowned frog 29q, i'm assuming i should wait until i have better quality, what do u recommend as suitable quality to craft it?

Finally does anything else come into the equation, like survival etc?

Yes, yes it works, just do it already. Even if you could hold off for better quality, you probably need the lp now more than if you just hold on to it. Better to use it now and buy whatever skills you need than get some marginally larger amount of lp in the future. That said, you still should be at full change and peace.
