Fully equipt fishing pole

SO I found out how to attach items to my fishing pole. So far i attached the taproot already, but I got stuck on the bone. I read, to craft a bone hook, it's supposed to be under Crafts > Tools > Fishing Equipment > Bone Hook. There though, I only find Fishing Pole. Any skill I need to unlock the Bone Hook craft? Any detailed help appreciated

Did you find a bone? You need a bone. If you do, try getting another animal killed. that would probably help register it into the crafting inventory after wringing the neck and getting a bone.

Does a gold hook make any difference?.
I have read at the Wiki Q does, but materials do? (of which each item is made of).

I would have to be very rich (ingame ofc) to asume the risk of loosing that hook, even if it made a big difference.

you know, I'm now wondering if hook type plays a part in what fish you catch the way lure, bait, water type, and moon phase does...could be the reason noone ever seems to be able to catch plaice
