Anyone know about doing this at an angles? This works perfect for me going North, East, South, West but when trying to make a path using it going North West, North East, South West, South East I get cave-in's

if you use arksu's client, and use the option to walk to the centre of the tile, there is a way to safely straight mine.

You have to centre in on the tile you just mined
0 0 0
0[X]0
0 [] 0

then centre in on the tile next to the one you want to mine
X 0 0
0 [] 0
0 [] 0
this gets you into the very corner of the tile
then mile the tile you want to mine

0 [] 0

0 [] 0

You don't have to use arksu's client, I'm told there's a way of doing it with build signs.

This way is safe, I've straight mined hundreds of tiles with it. But never EVER mine without a miner's helmet. Also don't use it to mine in caverns unless you know what you're doing.
