Buy up Exploration and Survival. Push for 15 Exploration, 10 Unarmed Combat, and 10 Survival. This will improve the quality of the curiosities that you find and the number/types of curiosities that you find. Utilize Ants, as has been mentioned before, ladybugs (grasslands), bark boats, dragonflies, cone cows, and anything else you can get your hands on as you expand your Int. Move your belief slider to +5 Peaceful and then +5 Civilization so you earn 360% lp from curiosities and have a larger study inventory.

As soon as you can, start fishing to get intelligence. It's also advisable to start a small farm to have consistent food. From there, you'll be alright =)
