I think once you get your stats up you can get insane LP from upping the quality on crafted curios... at least that's what I've been told...

No think about it. It's the truth. Unless you're lucky enough to be on a high Q soil node, you're crafted stuff will quickly hit and then outpace 70-80% of the foraged stuff.

I never heard of paving swamps.

You can plow through swamps. It's a huge pain to do, but if you look around, there's usually at least one person that has built in the middle of one.

how sure are you about plowing in a swamp? I recently went to extend my walls and wasn't even able to plow close to the swamp north of my place...

I'm pretty sure you can't plow Swamp. You can plow Thicket though. Perhaps this is what was meant?

Well then how are people building in the middle of swamps? You can do SOMETHING. Or is the screenshots I've seen of people with walls in the middle of a swamp 'shopped?

could be from before the thing was added about where you can and can't plow/pave to prevent vaults...I think I remember hearing that was added in W5(before I started though)

You for sure can't pave/plow on swamps. If you could people wouldn't make swamp vaults.

It is simply natural islands in the middle of swamps. You cannot terraform them. Swamps have a tendency to make some kind of curve and that often ends up in a circle leaving an island.

Crafted curios are the better diet later on btw, but only if you have access to decently high q. I only bothered with Glimmermoss and Edelweiss in the end since those are easy to get in one quick run over a mountain especially with a trail built. Used no other foragable anymore.

i've been trying to catch dragonflies and i jsut run out of stamina before i get close to one:S no flask to actually get my stamina back though
the woes of being a newb and requiring the damn things!
