You can transport cows on rafts if that is what you are asking, yes. It is just a very slow process especially if you plan to travel several grids.

I should have been a bit more specific.

I was thinking of transporting a few cows on land via oxecarting and only use the raft for going accross the few rivers that might become a must.

Or using a raft to travel down the river all the way with all the cows at the same time.

And the distance Im planning on traveling to is located about 3 supgergrids away.

Edit: I have never used a raft so Im a bit worried of how I might get killed by a hostile that happens to know of my little raft trip with all my cows. Or if this raft trip is a sure bet on geting all the cows killed.

You can only travel with one cow at a time on a raft. The ox-carting will work, though, and you can cross with one cow at a time. It's going to be a huge pain, though. You might be better to buy a cow and bull when you get to your new location.
