Blood decays very rapidly, much faster than items decay. Always had problems with that when making blood pentagrams with freshly skinned kills; the blood would up and disappear after only minutes had passed.

Did you have a wall of any kind protecting you? I know you said it was your keyalt that died but for all I know you meant that it was a future keyalt after you finished your wall. If you do have one, then you were probably killed by a ranged player or an animal within your wall, as they can spawn if you have not claimed your entire area yet.

I have palisade. My key alt should be killed by a sling because I find a stone near her corpse.

You are correct but if they found the stone then the case is solved.

If you didn't see blood it sounds like you were in the bathroom for a long time...

In the case that the stone found happened to be a random stone that you dropped earlier and forgot about, was your key alt also well fed? Standing around doesn't really make you hungry but after a few weeks you gotta watch it's hunger. Also it helps if your key alts always have armor on, even if it is just leather.

The last hit's blood lasts longer than hitting HP blood, it out-lasts a corpse turning into a skeleton.
