i meant real days, not in game. some new village founders may have trouble with that.

Eh... not really. Authority gains are increased by a character's Int and Cha. (Formula is on the wiki.) Given that most people have pushed Int to at least 40, and usually pick up more than a few Cha along the way, it's not hard. Heck, I was keeping up a 500k Auth village solo last world (about 100 Int, 50 Cha).

Hi. The formula on the wiki is somewhat confusing. I assumed that you take the square root of (charxint/10) and divide that result on 3 based on this formula: AuthGain = LP_Gain * (sqrt( (Int*Cha/10) ) /3).. That will yield about twice as much authority for a 20 int 20 char character. But when I look at the text it says the following:"The base LP gain, multiplied by the geometric value of your Intelligence and Charisma divided by thirty."
This method yields a factor about 0,7, which is saying that you multiply your LP with 0,7 which means you get just 70% compared to LP.

Which interpertation is correct?

The latter is correct if I recall. You have to really push Int and Cha to get authority = LP gain. You have the right idea in how it's calculated, too.

I'm fairly sure you're using the wrong wiki (the wikia one, it's outdated) as I fail to see where you found this.

Authority input is equivalent to that of the base LP of a curiosity (quality matters, but learning ability is irrelevant), multiplied by (sqrt((Int*Cha)/10))
The end result being rounded down, ofcourse.

TL;DR, I assume you're using wrong wiki, here is correct formula:
Authority = RoundedDown (LP * sqrt (INT * CHA) / 10)

(For future reference, here is the up to date/maintained wiki)

Side note: I think jorb's quote here is outdated, and that there was a buff to authority gain, changing the /30 to /10, or he just screwed up and intended to say /10. (All of this is deductive reasoning without much hard proof to back it up so if anyone is capable of enlightening the situation it would be appreciated)
