third, download enders client (and the update) for the global chat

Sure, you can toggle global chat, but there's nobody listening at the server to send your message back out. (not really... global chat got removed several months ago after too many people were trolling it causing the server to crash.)

No enders client seems to connect to a new IRC chat, i think atleast.
Unless it was ghosts who were talking to me.

This. I got burned out on the lag, crashes, and some other things (mostly set up a camp for 3 or 4 people, everyone quit on me just after w6 started... got invite to a village, then got invite to do some testing on Salem... guys that gave me the invite are probably wondering why I never actually joined the village. Sorry guys.) Anyway, quit keeping track of the client updates, and didn't know an IRC client got added back in.
