You should combine MC and UAC. UAC for defense, MC for the damage. I suggest your MC to be 1/3 of your UAC.

If you want to do MC only, you should get a high q sword and a shield and all fighting skills ofcourse, and build up your agility.
The moves are all up to you, you should choose what works best for you. Though, only Melee is not really recommended, as you have to leave the maneuvre on shield and cannot use any others.

That LP would be better spent investing a bit heavier in one form imo, though it'd have some advantages.

I like to mess around with the intensity with my MC builds.

You can carry a TS instead of sword, but if you get attacked, you might have to drop things to switch out quickly.

I honestly wouldn't recommend using valorous strike as an advantage resetter since it has an atrocious cooldown that your opponent start attacking you and bring down your defense and you cannot slide to restore it because you have no attack.

He meant with combat meds charged before-hand so the cooldown is low/non-existant.

That is a good amount of time lost, time that the enemy can throw a punch and compromise your defense due to low UA.

Assuming the enemy has decent UA and yours is low due to being an MC build, you would need 8 meditation trigger to nullify the cooldown (advantage cost is irrelevant due to valorous strike resetting it afterwards). I'm not quite sure if it is worth it, though.

there is this 1 thing that melee people sometimes do where they plop a sign in-between themself and enemy

enemy can not get past the sign by just clicking 'punch' on you, they have to navigate around the sign at which point you cancel the build and quickly go for sting

it requires practice and rarely works tbh, is best vs inexperienced fags

another thing I very often see MC people doing, sort of the main basis for MC i guess, is to just run around thundering all day long till you have enough initiative to do 'Opportunity knocks' 2 or 3 times

can be combined with no pain no gain
