Why are your gutted about your chicken farm? You should start right where you left off when creating a new character.

You lose your character and most of his stats, but your built infrastructure should still be intact.

you forgot the third option: don't care.

yeah, I was thinking that. " not dying" isn't always so simple and it is rude to suggest it. Not caring about dying and being able to rally afterwards is what really separates the boys from the men

Actually, "don't care" shouldn't be the phrase I used. "Don't worry" would be better.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

It's not the game trying to kill you off, it's the people ;p

By the way if you want to regain your lost LP rapidly here are few tips.

Get to farm carrots.
Spend all LP on Exploration (untill you get some decent number but never go over 60 or 70)
Forage curios from foraging then
Remember to get your tradition and warfare beliefs to full peaceful and full change (change will raise automaticly)

Or just make bricks and buy curios.
Rich people who are too lazy to make huge brickwalls will buy them for decent price. 150 bricks should get you glimmermoss which yields 8-20k LP at full change.

Hope I helped.
And get that Ender's client :).

takes 15 mins a day and u will have saved up tons of lp

Of course this "15 mins a day" scenario only works if you live in a village/have others gathering or crafting curios for you.

pretty sure msot villages wouldnt let someone log in 15 mins jsut to eat curios and leave/

but if ure in a good area, collecting low end curios, as long as ur perc is good, or jsut spending that 15 mins attacking ant hills, u can get pretty decent collection of curios, u wont a super charachter mind you, but enough to buy ur basic skills and increase them.
