Four days is hardly a necro

Hardly, but still one.

With that logic, every thread in the forum is a necro by 1+ second. I'm sure you're trying to be helpful but I do not believe it is necessary especially for something so trivial.

Hey, I'm just going off of what MagicMan here said himself. He's the one who said 'hardly'. That means that it still is one.
Either way, what's the big deal that I said digging up a 4-day old thread necroing? It's not a legit term. Just one people use.
Granted it's the meaning behind the actual term that is what it's used for. 'Bringing back the dead'. But 4-days here in Haven and Hearth, on these forums, that is dead. May not be stone-cold, but it's still dead and bringing back a 'dead' thread is stupid.
Also, anything 1+ seconds doesn't mean it's dead. Not even 'by that logic'. If it's been pushed to the second page, then most of the time, it is a dead thread.
Especially seeing as the matter that was the OP, was solved alread. Zboj there didn't read the entire thread. Which is all of 13 posts. With mine here, 14. The problem was solved literally right above his. There was no way that he could use an excuse saying 'oh, I didn't see it'--that's a load of crap.
Trivial as this may all be...but you should know that even the most trivial thing--be it in-game or here on the forums--is more then that.

Keeping off topic in hopes to address my views about "necroing" in HDI, I have to side with Fiction on this. In the HDI section the lifespan of a thread usually isn't longer than a day or two, and especially when the problem at hand has been solved. The only people who should bump a thread that's been dead for over 2 or 3 days really should be those who are asking questions on the subject, not another response to a resolved problem. This doesn't really apply to other subforums where most threads intend to bring discussion, it applies to this specific subforum since of the nature of questions and responses. Personally, I thought his response was more disruptive than constructive.

EIther way, trying to keep to a minimum of unnecessary bumping of inactive threads. When a thread in HDI dies, unless the OP or another question poser has a question, the thread should really just remain dead.

You both raise a good point and perhaps I should have looked into this a bit closer, I apologize.
