I will however point out that I personally am offended by these HF locks and break them and raid the place every time i see one. Build a pally, build a wall but if I see one of those things your hf and probably the shit inside is GONE.

If the person is to lazy to build a pali, I could see why you get mad, but I use the HF locks whenever I don't have time or resources to build a pali.

On one alt, I found an unclaimed cabin that I now use as a base while foraging, I'll only be there another month, so I don't bother with any wall, just something to keep people from grabbing my boat.

Anything more than a few days is reason enough to build a pali. If you aren't going to do that, at least put up a fence without a gate some someone coming along leaves vandalism scents. There's still plenty of "locals" that will pick up random scents, track them down, and raid those people instead of obvious newbs.
