Question about Trees "sprouts"

yeah that's what it seems like to me, there are a couple more in the front as well.

Except they actually grow up to be large trees. The small (lollipop looking ones) were just recently planted and I don't walk on them once I plant them if I can keep from it and we don't need anything in that area unless we are chopping down trees themselves. It's just weird and wondered if anyone else had this happen to them and if it meant anything. Haven't done anything with the stump...kinda want to see if it does anything. (highly unlikely I know)

Do those "branches" disappear when you remove the stump?

yes the spot would be ready to replant. The one above this was just replanted. I kept this stump to ask ya'll about. And it was actually bigger today so I don't know what the heck it's problem is. Maybe they hear me talking to them while I am planting. (chuckles...kiddddding...just kiddding)
