Hi,
I'm not so experienced as Borka but you might want to give a try;
1-I have also 64 bit operating system but i installed java 32 bit in order to play the game (And download Ender's 32 bit client).
2- Your virus software might be blocking the game. Disable it and try again.

Sarah you're on the right track :)

Seems his AVG was faulty - replacing it with Avira straight away found 2 virii - and Java works now...

You can have both Bit versions installed and even both Ender Bit versions the same time

Program Files (x86)Java is the path for 32 Bit
Program Files\Java for 64 Bit

(only flaw is you have to edit each run.bat in the Ender folders to make it point to the correct path)
