I have done, but i'm looking for Plaice and all I seem to be able to catch at the moment is Brill. Despite trying rock lobster, wood fish and cone lures.

I know it's probably irritating that i'm going on and on about this, I apologize if that is the case, but i'm just trying to get a better understanding of things

You're fishing for the second rarest fish in the game. It's not worth the pain and hassle, just trust me on that.

I *think* I found plaice in lake shallows during new moon. But it's not pure plaice. And that's kinda the problem, they're never found purely, and they don't show up often.

theres something rarer than plaice? and I've only ever caught them once on a full moon in a river(and still caught more sturgeon)

I used to be able to land just about everything I wanted, but yeah, there's rarer than plaice. It's been a while since I did a lot of fishing, so my skills are out. However, I will say that the chart on the wiki was fairly accurate at the time. Also: worms. If there's a dominant fish at that time, worms will always get it (or leeches, or intestines... any fresh bait.) Fishing with lures is for those that want to afk fish or half ignore the game while doing something else. (Good way to get ganked IMO.)

Eel is one of them until you figure out how to catch them.
