It's easier with two people aggroing the target, because then there will be two twitches directly linked to one another, giving twice the time for you to land a safe shot.

Yeah, twitch hunting is the way to do it if you're taking the MM hunting route. Although, the window is only around 1-1.5 seconds so you need really good reflexes, and even then it's still not fool proof. I've lost a couple bears while hunting late at night or in the early morning, just because I was groggy and slipped up on the twitches.

Twitch hunting is real nice. Though I still end up chasing boars all across the land when I accidentally slip up every once and a while.

so if you guys are pro twitch hunters and have problems with it, and this guy is a noob, why suggest it? tell him the easy way to do stuff. for a fox build a fence! just takes a few branches and the carpentry skill(which you have if you're able to make a sling).

I've just read about twitch hunting on Sevenless guide and never had a problem with it. Never even saw a video or someone doing it. I just wait for the twitch to hit and never had an animal flee.

Because it's one of those things you just have to practice at to get good. There is no "easy" way of doing MM hunting other than this until you get a good enough Rbow and arrows to 1-shot anything you're hunting. Personally, I've never gotten the hang of it, but it doesn't mean I don't keep trying. I usually get enough UA and STR so that I can easily kill most animals in under a minute or two. Bears are the only thing I stick to ranged hunting for because one screw up can waste some really good armor.

Because if he ever wants to hunt anything other than a fox (which I'm sure he will) he'll either need to know how to twitch hunt, or have a considerable amount of UA and know the combat system.

again:twitch hunting has never worked for me. once you get a decent bow you can 1 hit everything except bears(who don't like to run) so its a matter of chasing a fox early mm levels. since foxes are super fast and you kill your stam trying to sprint after them to punch...anything else the normal hunting method works fine.

They do, however, I think it may be similar to bears in the sense that it needs to take a minimum amount of damage in a given time frame for it to run. Either that, or that boar was just manly.
