More specifically, you need ~20 UA for fox (30 if your agility sucks), ~75 for boar, ~200 for bear, ~5 for a bunch of ants, don't even try a troll, you need ~250 to fight a herd of aurochsen, you need ~170 I think, to fight a herd of mouflons (since they feed your manuevers SO MUCH you can regain full atk and defense with nothing but oak stance and bloodlust in less than a second)

That's basically it.
I said "you need more than stats"...meaning that even if you have the suggested skills, you will still lose to even weak animals if you can't fully exploit your repertoire of moves. Try taking on a boar without keeping an eye on advantage, and you'll see what I mean.
Ants are easy target practice, because you can just attack them, Slide to keep your guard up, Jump to recharge your attack, and then slowly try all moves and strategies on them.
