We already looked at the world map and all our ideal spots are taken or have much larger villages nearby. We will just be waiting patiently.

That's not even possible chief. the world was expanded by 22 supergrids about 2 weeks after the world started. i live in one of the expansion grids and it and the one south and north are all functionally empty.

Guys, I'm looking for advice: is it worth resuming to play (4 months after the world was created), taking into account that devs have abandonned Salem and started working harder on H&H?
What are the odds of implementing a certain world-cleaning mechanism and this/the next world becoming permanent? What are the chances of having no character reset after switching to the next world?
There's supposed to be a major update coming Soon™.

Does the last minor update mean something like "that's what we have so far, there's nothing coming in the next %X% months"?

On a sidenote for my first question, I'm a moderately "experienced" noob with a rundown plot, ruined pali and 53 int/utter lack of high skills on my main (forager).
P.S. I guess there are many people willing to get answers for the questions above, so I'd greatly appreciate any comments from Jorb/Loftar.

P.P.S. Is there any map apart from Sabinati's which doesn't have any gaps at the south-western part of the world? By coincidence it's right next to the place where I live.

Bad assumption there. Much of the core of both games are the same code and it's being reworked.

Given this will always be in an alpha state, don't count it happening, ever. I think I'm the one that mentioned never resetting. It's an ideal situation, not reality. ;)

Again, who knows.

Probably asking in the wrong forum if you want answers from the devs. Best place would to be lurk in IRC for them.

And the map sabinati is hosting is the only public one I know of.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

If you want to fill gaps use the mapuploader tool alg made http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/vie ... 00#p415552

What's shown in World map depends on what gets uploaded by us players
