I didn't really get locked in or out yet, although knowing some griefer, it's bound to happen. I just haven't finished my wall yet. I made two different palisade walls, which end in Corner Posts. And I BELIEVE they are two spaces apart on paved ground? I can fit two items between them. But right clicking either won't let me build a gate.

I hate dat my 'Perfectly Square' fence didn't work out... actually not really. This whole place is a mishmash, and looks like someone already messed it up by their cobblestone placements... but I figured the place would be salvageable. I might be wrong. I dunno. I'll post a screenshot so you guys can see it.... but... I'm trying to make this work.

(Also, I applogize for being a nub and not knowing how to resize the SS so it doesn't eat the page's space...)

Edit!: Also! This is vital! Do the fences have to be completed? Do like, I have to have four walls before I can put up the gate? Because if that's the case, I havn't built my back wall yet because it's to a hill, and noone can get in or out anyway.

That's 3 tiles.
Don't worry, all the MLG pros don't know how to make their screenshots smaller.
Anyway, if you use Ender's, enable ctrl + G (grid) to see tiles etc.

Remove the picture immediately. Edit it so the minimap does not show.

Good job. It is simply prudent practice that you do not display your location. Doing so invites some people to scornfully seek you out and harm you. I don't like to breed paranoia, and have revealed my location under certain circumstances, simply, just be cognizant of the fact that by showing your location, people will know where you are.

Also: THANK YOU, Vaku! Diiiiid not think about that. Although, I'm 9/10 would confirm, this little corner of the continent is deserted... but I see you point. Thanks again.

Edit: Also, thank you for the Grid Tip! 'Cause dat helps. Lots.

Looked like someone was going to TRY to build there, loused it up, and then said 'Screw it', and just up and left, leaving a rune saying 'Good luck to founders'. But there are two issues, I suppose, that I've got to deal with. One is due to my ignorance, and the other is moreover a question...

It is true he could have been more forward with the statement, writing instead, "I suppose there are two issues I have to deal with: One is my ignorance and the other is a question"

"Moreover" as Whitehyena used it was similar in the way that "really" is used, in attempt to emphasize the importance of the question.

It's a kind gesture to point out the disagreeable way something is written, but it comes off as rude if you don't finish the concern with a solution. Cordially.

I say this because, Amasarac, Egg, you're not the first person to treat another with derision, for how agreeable their communication is on this forum. And because derision was what I felt from reading your comment, I felt compelled to do my part in alleviating the negativity.

If you would like to respond openly to what I said here, that is fine, though just some forewarning, if the response warrants that I return to comment, it will be through a message. I do not want to, any further, derail from the topic of the thread.

I just saw this and, I'm considering my own actions.

Choosing your battles is how I see it.

So, thanks everyone with the information, yet again. But I have another question- I've had the LP to extend my property to these Hearth Fires, and can now destroy them. However, that being said...

It doesn't seem I can damage them.

I only have 17 strength and a stone axe... so, that's reasonable, I guess...

But does anyone know how strong I have to be TO be able to break Hearth Fires?

they have a soak of 5

sqrt17 = 4 + 1 is 5 which is too low
you need 25 + stone axe

Thank you! I don't know if I should try to kill something other than rabbits, or try to save up for a pickaxe. But I'll find a way.
